Celebrating strengths.
Building confidence.
Inspiring growth.
Lavender Lane Occupational Therapy is a warm, play-filled space where kids can explore, imagine, and grow at their own pace. From our welcoming home-based office in New Fairfield, Connecticut—and through in-home visits across Northern Fairfield County and Lower Litchfield County—we use play as our main tool to support each child’s unique strengths. Our goal is for children to feel confident, capable, and more independent in their everyday lives.

Child-Led Play
Play is a child's natural way of learning, so therapy sessions are designed around engaging, meaningful activities that build new skills while fostering confidence, curiosity, and joyful participation.
Therapeutic Approach
Lavender Lane's approach is based in the belief that every child learns best through connection, play, and feeling understood. Intervention is individualized to each child's unique needs, helping build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills that carry over into everyday life. We partner closely with families and caregivers to create practical, play-filled experiences that support growth both in and beyond the therapy room.

Strengths-BasedÂ
A strengths-based approach recognizes and builds upon each child's unique abilities and interests, using their existing strengths as the foundation for developing new skills, confidence, and independence.

Sensory Exploration
Through playful sensory experiences, children learn how their bodies respond to the world around them, building self-regulation, confidence, and the skills needed to participate more comfortably in daily life.
